Legacy Remodeling Specialists did an amazing job at finishing our basement. Doug was very thorough and expected/demanded the best from his subcontractors. Our basement has some amazing "upgrades" but we were still able to stay within our budget. From the stone wall in the living area to the hidden room in the office, our basement certainly has a custom feel. Not only are we happy with the overall finishing of our basement, we are also so thankful for the professionalism and kindness that Doug showed throughout the construction process. My husband was deployed up until the end of the process. Doug went above and beyond for me. He shoveled off our driveway several mornings before I could get to it. When my husband's truck wasn't starting he taught me how to take care of it in the cold weather (we are not from the area). He changed my tire for me when I got a flat from sliding into a curb during an icy/snowy day. Doug also, for extra security, changed the knob on our basement door so it could lock so I would feel secure with my husband being gone. If you are remodeling a part of your house, you might as well have someone around who is trustworthy and kind on top of being great at his job!

Doug completed our unfinished basement and created a wonderful two bedroom bath with shower, a bar, recreation room and kitchen. Before talking with Doug, we had no idea what we could do with the basement, it was just the rectangular space. Doug had the vision to see what we could not. After consulting with us on three different occasions, Doug came back with Blue Prints that blew us away. His experience in the industry, his commitment to excellence, and his attitude are what separate Doug from the rest.
We were so impressed with Doug's overall experience and background in the construction industry. It was like having an interior designer and architect all in one. What stood out for us was Doug's tile ability both in flooring and counter tops. Doug has a gift with tile there's no doubt about it. Not only does he know how to install complex and intricate projects, but his ability to design is truly special. In my opinion there is no one better.
Doug has the ability to make you feel like you are a priority. We were never put on hold or could not reach him. He always kept in touch with us. He would text, call, and email us so that we always knew what was going on. Doug is committed to making things look just right and making sure the job is done right. He is not one of those contractors that just wants to hurry and get the job done, conversely, he takes pride in the final project and is very detail oriented.
Doug has such a great attitude towards people. We felt at ease and were not apprehensive in talking with Doug. He's the type of person that you feel like you've known your whole life. We felt like he was on our side and wanted the best for us, and I believe he really did. He is a happy and positive person that makes you feel at ease when you are around him. We consider him our friend and our professional.
Doug is a highly experienced, talented, and personable contractor and comes with our highest recommendation. Anyone using him for contracting purposes will be extremely happy with his work and the process. We were super fortunate to have him.
